This committee actively recruits  members, provide resources and activities to retain existing members, and encourages member participation in other committees and chapter activities. This lively and jovial team organizes chapter social/networking events and is the critical first face of the chapter. This committee is the liaison between the student and professional chapter. This very active committee coordinates student participation at regional and national conferences as well as connecting students with recruiters, internships, and scholarships. Committee members form a close relationship with students and are essential to the continuity of the student chapter. The responsibility of this committee is to administer the chapter’s education and professional development programs. It entails presenting a list of tentative topics and speakers for the general meetings and scheduled events. This committee coordinates volunteer activities for members. Activities may include leading financial literacy seminarsat middle and high schools and civic organizations, such as fraternities and sororities. With assistance from our Institutional Partners and other sponsoring corporations. Additionally, opportunities to help with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistant program are arranged by this committee. This committee is responsible for scholarship distributions and the peak season leads up to the Annual Student Scholarship Banquet held every year in May. Evaluating scholarship applications and working with partners and scholarship recipients are only part of the gratifying tasks. The role of compliance is to ensure adherence to provisions of the Chapter Bylaws and Chapter Policies & Procedures Manual and the Professional Chapter Scorecard (you'll find out more when join this committee). Compliance will ensure all State, Federal, and National financial reporting requirements are satisfied. After you dot your i's, cross your t's, you can help us do that same. The responsibilities of the Finance Committee include setting long-range financial goals along with funding strategies to achieve them, overseeing the budget process and performance, reviewing chapter finance policies and procedures and assist and oversee the chapter treasurer as needed. If you are all about the numbers please email treasurer@nabaseattle.org. As the backbone of the chapter, the operations committee ensures all web platforms, password access, social media pages are functioning and accessible to committee members. Additionally, chapter operations helps document and maintain a record of chapter activities, creating a detail list of task to help members easily duplicate events and make year-to-year transitions a lot smoother.
